The jacket and trousers are made from a very fine wool gabardine fabric, and the jacket is lined in silk. What makes this uniform so unique is it is a blend of old and new. The uniform itself is a Soviet M69 issue, but it has some of the new model patches sewn to the sleeves, and the buttons are the two-headed eagle design. I have never quite seen an example like this, and this is one of the most handsome examples of the M69 I have seen! The jacket comes with Lieutenant rank shoulder boards, VVS collar tabs, and a breast badge on the chest.A parade aiguillette has been attached to the right shoulder. Parade aiguillette is the correct military model made out of thick and heavy metal wire golden threads. On the left side of the chest there is a medal commemorating the 100th anniversary of the USSR Armed Forces 1918 - 2018. On the left sleeve there is a Russian Air Force two-headed eagle patch, and on the right sleeve there is what I believe is a Staff Officer patch for the Ministry of Defense. Uniform comes with matching parade belt and blue pants!
Also included in the set is a matching white parade shirt with perfectly matching shoulder boards (lieutenant rank of VVS) and a blue tie! The shirt is one of the newer issue models with an elastic waistband bottom. The shirt is designed to be worn jacket style, untucked on the outside of the pants. The uniform is for a small and short size. Very lean, Russian size 46-2, equal to about a US size 36 Short.
Here are some measurements of the jacket: 17" shoulder-to-shoulder, 24" sleeve length from the top of the shoulder seam to the bottom cuff, and 17.5 underarm-to-underarm. The shirt is a Russian size 37-2. This would be equal to a US collar size of 14.5, and a 32 size sleeve length.
The pants would fit a size 29-30 waist, but no larger than a 30. The legs measure 38.5 in length from the top of the waistband to the bottom of the legs. Pants feature an old fashioned button fly.
