MIG Cockpit Panel Clock Military Chronograph ACHS-1. The clock is produced at the Molnia (Molnija) Military watch factory, located in Chelyabinsk, Russia. Main production were wristwatches, pocket watches, mechanical table clocks and unique technical clocks for tanks, aircrafts and submarines ordered by Soviet Union Department of Defense.
The clock is used in a control panel of jet military planes MIG-19, MIG-21, MIG-23, strategic bombers, Helicopter and transport planes of the USSR. These clocks have been designed to withstand speeds of Mach 3 / 1800 mph (2900 km/h) and altitudes of up to 100,000 feet (30 km). These robust timepieces are built to keep time flawlessly while pulling 6G's!
Built-in 27-volt heater ensures operation even at -60 °C (-75 °F). Each measures approximately 3 inches (8 cm) in diameter by 2½ inches (6.5 cm) deep and feature a two-day / three-day precision clock movement with 26 jewels, inside an all-steel, dustproof and waterproof case. Diameter of the dial: 74 mm.
Dust-Proof and Waterproof Case width : 87 mm. Stop watch time 1 hour. Clock Markers and hands on the dial are fluorescent(lumions in dark). The clock is fully original, recently serviced by a master watchmaker and is in good running condition. Clock may displays some minor imperfections, but is guaranteed to be fully functional, historical military timepiece.
